Hike

Hiking will take place in the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park. There are over 20 miles of hiking trails throughout the park. Please use the link below to view a map of the different hiking routes. They range from an easy 1.25 family friendly loop to more difficult 4 mile loops. You can also do a few combinations to make up longer loops, so many options.

Biking

Road Bike Ride

Start / finish at Billings Farm - Primarily paved roads… If you need a route, Dan loved to road ride (pre-Gravel bike) and one of his “Go To” work out rides was the Quechee / Pomfret loop (90% pavement 10% Dirt Road)

Gravel Bike Ride

Start/Finish at Billings Farm - Primarily on dirt roads & class 4 unmaintained roads. While Dan had many favorites the following 2 options are great rides for this event.
o Danny’s Quick Gravel is a shorter route with 2 easy to moderate class 4 sections (and a short cut back to Billings if you want to head back at the Taftsville covered bride. https://www.strava.com/routes/2948027770624034494/cue_sheet [strava.com]
o Danny’s Morning loop (longer & more climbing with great views and more technical class 4 sections). Mountain Bike Ride

Woodstock has 3 different Mtn Bike trail systems (Dan loves each one equally since they are each uniquely different). We will mark trails for the suggested routes
o Aqueduct trail Network has the most Family Friendly / more relaxed options. PLEASE NOTE PARKING IS VERY LIMITED PLEASE USE THE SHUTTLE SERVICE FROM BILLINGS FARM. There will be a SAG station near the pond.
 Recommended routes in development
o Mtn Peg Trail Network is more advanced riding with bigger climbs. Please ride carefully from Billings Farm due to limited parking near trail entrance. There will be a SAG station in Knox Meadow (South side of trail system)
 Danny’s Lunch Loop (Map will be provided)
 Danny’s Go To Loop (Map will be provided)
o Suicide 6 Ski area - Downhill Mtn Bike trails (PLEASE NOTE there is no lift service… Earn your turns by biking up the Green trail)
o The Triple Crown >>> ARE CRAZY option… For those looking for the ultimate challenge you can hit all 3 networks (Billings Farm > Mt Peg > Aqueduct > S6 > Billings Farm) - Map will be provided.

Guided Jeep Tour

Do you love the woods in Vermont? Have you ever seen old homesteads that have been reclaimed by the forest? Do you like bouncing around in a Jeep? If so this is the adventure for you…!! Join us with your own Jeep/Ride (Must have at least 33” tires) or as a passenger in one of our trail guides. (Limited seating available). Terrain will be moderate to hard, expect some mud and fun. Route will bring us through Woodstock, South Woodstock, Bridgewater, Barnard, Pomfret and end in Woodstock. Don’t worry.. We will not miss the band!!

Walk

There are several walking options that include walking loops throughout Woodstock village or out and back on River Rd starting at Billings Farm.
Walking through the village, there is the option of walking River St, Mountain Ave, through the village and back to Billings for 1.5-2 mile loop.
When walking the out and back on River Rd, to the High Pastures Rd intersection and back to Billings Farm is a 3 mile round trip walk. If you choose to continue to the Taftsville covered bridge and back it would be a 6 mile walk.

E-Bike Rental

E-bike rental will be available onsite for up to 10 bikes from Woodstock Wheels. Please see woodstockwheels.com for options. E-bikes will be able to participate in all three biking events. E-bikes will be picked up and returned to event site.
