Water For People is an international nonprofit working to end the global water crisis and is Brenntag’s charity of choice.
This year, I’m going to walk 6 km on the Humber Park Trail (entrance 300 metres east of Brenntag) in the World Water Classic, a walk/run/bike ride in October and, as part of the race, I'm fundraising to further Water For People's work! The plan is to do a ”loop” - 3 k out - 3 k back. Please, join me for all or part of my hike and/or donate! I’m a seasoned mid-distance walker so see me for footwear and clothing recommendations. The plan for the walk is for Friday October 4 at 4:30 pm departing Creekbank. Return by 7 pm latest. That’s a nice casual pace.
On average, women in low and middle-income countries walk 6k each day to fetch water and it's commonly not safe to drink. Then there are people like Santana in Guatemala, who worked to provide her community with water, and saw her dream become a reality, with help from Water For People.
I want to help people like Santana and hope you will join me by supporting my fundraiser!
