MEET LATONYA
LaTonya Story is the CEO and Founder of LPS Consulting PR, a sports and lifestyle boutique agency with over 22 years of experience working in the public relations and marketing space representing high-profile personalities, consumer and corporate brands, and non-profit organizations. Her current and past clients include Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, NFL, NBA and WNBA players, USA Olympians, coaches, sports and TV personalities, corporate brands, and business professionals.
LaTonya has received numerous awards and recognitions, including being named as one of the 100 Influential Black Women in Sports by Sports Illustrated and Empower Onyx, CNN Difference Maker, receiving the 2012 Atlanta Business League’s Success Against the Odds Award, Women Out Front Award from Georgia Tech Women’s Basketball for her work in sports, and Women in PR Trailblazers Award. LaTonya was also recognized by Black Enterprise as one of the top sports executives to follow on Twitter.
In 2019, LaTonya created and founded The Sports Power Brunch: Celebrating the Most Powerful Women in Sports, an annual event held during Super Bowl week that encourages and empowers women to thrive and excel in the sports industry and beyond. Growing in influence, the Sports Power Brunch has become a must-attend gathering, garnering national attention with coverage by Associated Press, The Hollywood Reporter, The Atlantan and ABC News, among other key media outlets. She attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA and is a member of WISE Atlanta, Black Sports Professionals and Diverse Representation.
In 2021, LaTonya joined the American Cancer Society’s Women in Sports Council. She started the Sterling Legacy Fund, Inc. in honor of her late son, Sterling, who succumbed to Cancer in 2019 at the age of 30.
