The Michigan Running Foundation was founded in 1998. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is simple, we want to support youth running across the state of Michigan. Our grant program supports High School and Middle School Cross Country and Track programs, Youth Running Clubs, our Mighty Mile program, building running paths in communities, and more!

For years, we had a vision and goal of creating running paths at schools to benefit not only the students but also the surrounding community. In 2024, that vision became a reality. To date, we’ve successfully built two paths—one at Gardner School in Lansing and another at Vernor Elementary School in Detroit. This is just the beginning. We aim to build additional paths in schools and communities throughout Michigan.

Youth Running Programs in Michigan
Youth Running Club Support: Support for uniforms, entry fees into meets or travel expenses. Support for individual kids that want to be part of a club but do not have the money to join.
Starting a Youth Running Club: Help youth running clubs to get started with uniforms, entry fees and equipment.
Pay to Play Scholarships: Help fund the fees for pay to play programs
