Growing Great Cheese: How Feed Influences Flavor
Join us Monday, March 14, 2022 at 8pm EST. A ticketed virtual event where Matt Benham, recipient of the 2020 Daphne Zepos Teaching Award, he presents his findings from his research of practices used in France, Spain, and Italy about agricultural practices impact on flavor of milk and the ecological consequences. Learn about how Matt has navigated his research while stateside during travel restrictions and his hopes to explore the true essence of terroir once he visits these countries in person. During this live virtual event, you will be able to ask questions directly to Matt and engage in a stimulated conversation about the future of "harvesting" flavor from the land our animals graze.
Buy Your TicketTickets will be limited to 90 spots and all revenue will be donated to the Daphne Zepos Teaching Endowment to further educational opportunities through their two scholarships as well as continuing education for past recipients. Tickets will be available up until 730pm EST. You will receive a Zoom link at that time to the event. A recording of this event will be available on our Youtube channel in the weeks after the event.
Your purchase will qualify for a tax-exempt receipt which you will receive after the event has concluded from United Charitable, the umbrella 501(c)3 nonprofit over The Cheeseletes who is helping to organize this fundraiser by providing a platform for tax-free donations. Otherwise, this event is completely independent of those two organizations, but we deeply appreciate their cooperation and commitment to cheese education.
