Event Description

PAVE Global and the Retail Design Institute Ohio invite you to CCAD's Joseph V Canzani Center for an extraordinary event sponsored by ZenGenius, Inc.This special "Designing for the Future" presentation features two leaders in our design community whose life experiences have inspired their passion for their work and its impact on future design.

Meg Lefeld, Business Development Manager, ZenGenius, Inc.
Enhancing Retail Environments Through Sensory Inclusivity

In this insightful presentation, Meg Lefeld, Director of Business Development at ZenGenius, will explore how sensory-inclusive initiatives can shape the future of retail environments. Drawing from her professional expertise in the retail industry and her journey of healing from a traumatic brain injury, Meg will challenge conventional retail practices by advocating for more inclusive and accessible spaces. Along the way, attendees will also gain a deeper understanding of how the brain processes sensory input, empowering them to create better retail experiences and get to know themselves better by understanding how their brain responds to the world around them. With practical and innovative insights, this presentation will help shape retail environments to be more welcoming, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed for present and future generations.

Brady Harding, Director of Architecture, CESO
“Why” We Do What We Do For Accessible Design

Brady Harding, Director of Architecture at CESO, will present insights on the critical importance of accessible design and its integration across all retail environments. Drawing from his extensive experience, Brady will share his personal story and practical expertise, highlighting aspects of daily interactions that are often overlooked but are essential for many. His presentation will emphasize a human-centered approach to accessible design, illustrating its impact on inclusivity and functionality. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of why integrating accessible design is vital, even when it poses challenges to store design concepts.
