Adult and Student General Support volunteers are the heart and soul of our race! You'll be asked to assist with a variety of tasks throughout the event, from the early morning setup to the final cleanup. Flexibility and a "team player" attitude are essential for a smooth and successful race day.
Here are a few examples of the types of tasks you might be assigned:
• Setup & Breakdown: Assist with setting up booths (i.e., laying out tablecloths, helping to hang banners), placing signs along the racecourse or Ellie’s Village, etc.
• Registration Assistants: Help with pre-race registration check-ins, answering participant questions, distributing race packets (including bibs and swag bags)
• Water Stop Heroes: Provide water to thirsty runners along the racecourse.
• Start Line/Finish Line Cheer Squad: Energize the runners with enthusiastic cheers and encouragement throughout the race. Congratulate finishers as they cross the finish line, hand out medals, and guide them towards the post-race festivities. High-fives are highly encouraged!
