Race Day FAQ:
We hope you are looking forward to the race this Saturday, April 1st! It is Rain or Shine!
- Volunteers can start arriving by 6:30am to help set up the event.
- Check-in will open at 7:30am and will remain open until 8:45am. Please leave enough time to park before check in closes.
- The 5K race starts at 9:00am at The Safe Center - A certified copy of the map is below.
- The 1/4 Mile Kid's Fun Run will begin at 8:15am.
- Trainer Laura Murphy will be leading a light stretching session at 8:30am.
EARLY PACKET PICKUP:
Pre-race packet pick up is available at The Safe Center, 15 Grumman Road West, Suite 1000 in Bethpage on Thursday, March 30th from 9am - 5pm and at the Runner's Edge, 242 Main Street, in Farmingdale on Friday March 31st from 12pm - 5pm. Pre-race registration is still available at Runner's Edge if you have friends or family that haven't registered yet. Day of race registration is available for $40 for all.
PARKING:
Parking will be available at The Safe Center in Bethpage. There are 2 large parking lots here at The Safe Center. These will be filled first and overflow will be directed to Apollo Park (Grumman Field). Please note that road access will be limited in these areas once the race begins.
If you would like to avoid road closures if leaving before race ends, there is parking available at the Bethpage Train Station. There is a path that leads to The Safe Center and is about a 5 min walk. Volunteers will be in the area to direct participants to the event area.
COURSE/COURSE MAP:
We will have volunteers on the course to guide you but please pay attention to the course markings and surrounding traffic. A copy of the course map can be found HERE.
HYDRATION:
There will be water available prior to race start and finish line, and there will also be two water stops on the course. We strongly encourage you to bring your own hydration for this event so that your individual needs are met to your liking.
POST RACE REFRESHMENTS & AWARDS:
Refreshments and the Awards ceremony will take place near the finish line by the Town of Oyster Bay "Showmobile." Awards Ceremony will start around 10:15am.
BATHROOM FACILITIES:
Porta-Potties will be available in The Safe Center parking lot in the event area. Handicap bathrooms are available. If needed, ask a volunteer at the check in tent and they will direct you.

Can I bring my pet to the in-person race? Unfortunately, your furry friends will need to stay home for this race. Only service animals will be permitted.
