What is the K12 Draw a Line Against Bullying Move-A-Thon?

Bullying affects millions of students daily, and the K12 Draw a Line Against Bullying Move-A-Thon is our spirited response. Engage with the K12 community and your own communities while raising funds all month long and bringing it home with the grand finale, our Move-A-Thon event during October 21-29

Registration is entirely free, and the main highlight of the Move-A-Thon is that you can choose your own adventure!

  • You can donate a fixed amount, or set a personal goal to donate a specific dollar amount for every mile or minute you move. Every effort counts, and it’s up to you!
  • For the Move-A-Thon event from October 21-29, we invite you to walk, run, hike, bike, swim, kayak, skate, dance, or however you love to move, from wherever you're located. Let your imagination run wild—all we ask is that you stay active and enjoy the process. (And share a snapshot of your moves on social media!)
  • You're welcome to fundraise without contributing, or donate without moving a muscle during the Move-A-Thon dates. Our ultimate goal is to raise funds in support of Rachel’s Challenge throughout the month!

How to get started

1. Ready to make the move? Register for the Move-A-Thon event from October 21-29!

  • You’ll also be able to make an optional donation to Rachel’s Challenge during the registration process, or you can skip it and donate later.
  • GIVEAWAY! When you register, we’ll send you a FREE limited edition K12 Draw a Line Against Bullying t-shirt (while supplies last)!

2. Invite your friends and family to move and give with you!

  • If you registered, you’ll have your very own link where folks can donate to Rachel’s Challenge. Using your unique link, anyone can donate to Rachel’s Challenge this October and join the K12 community for the Move-A-Thon, October 21-29.
  • Go it alone or create a team! Create a little friendly competition by teaming up with your school, neighbors, coworkers, extended family and more to make an even bigger impact.

About Rachel's Challenge

Rachel's Challenge is a 501(c)3 non-profit that exists to equip and inspire individuals to replace acts of violence, bullying, and negativity with acts of respect, kindness, and compassion. Rachel’s Challenge is based on the life and writings of Rachel Joy Scott who was the first victim of the Columbine school shootings in 1999. Through her example, Rachel’s Challenge is making a positive impact in the lives of millions of people every year.

Superintendents, principals, teachers, parents, and students bring Rachel’s Challenge into their schools because of escalating problems such as: bullying, student isolation, teen suicide, discrimination, school violence, and increased disciplinary actions. Through powerful presentations, trainings, community events, and professional development, Rachel’s Challenge provides a sustainable solution. More information can be found at RachelsChallenge.org.
