Description
First Annual Pickleball Tournament Fundraiser for 3Wheel Therapy. Event takes place at Mike Chappel Park in Carolina Beach on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Rain date: Sunday, April 14, 2024.
3Wheel Therapy is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides free rides on an adaptive tricycle to individuals who cannot ride a traditional bicycle. This volunteer-run organization provides the "leg-work" for people to experience the joy of riding a bicycle outdoors in nature with others, as a truly accessible recreational opportunity. The ride is ideal for people with disabilities, aging adults, people with low/poor balance or coordination or just fear of riding a bicycle.
The tournament is open to men, women and mixed doubles teams. Intermediate (<3.5); Advanced (>3.5). 1st place teams in each category win a prize. Top fundraiser will also win a prize from local sponsors. T-shirts may be purchased during event registration online.
