Charity Challenge: The Great Descent is a thrilling opportunity for individuals and organizations to raise money and support DuPagePads. Only 100 spots are available to rappel off the roof of Hotel Arista in Naperville.
Participants are required to meet the minimum fundraising goal of $500.

With the support of donors over the past 39 years, DuPagePads has provided more than 1 million nights of emergency housing to children and adults across DuPage County. Last year alone, DuPagePads provided 110,436 nights of emergency housing to 734 individuals and 331,308 meals, an average of 907 meals a day for those who might otherwise go without safety or nourishment.
Registration Options
Sign-up as an individual or create a team!
Participants are required to meet the minimum fundraising goal of $500 each.
Once you meet the goal, your rappelling space is reserved.
Participate as a team! Support your teammates and fundraise as a group. Team goals are determined by the number of participants (ex $2,500 goal for 5 members).
Push Your Pastor
When your congregation raises the $1,000 minimum for your pastor to go “over the edge,” the pastor can choose to rappel or match the funds and nominate someone else to go instead.
Toss Your Boss
You and a group of co-workers can nominate a willing “Boss” to rappel. When your employee group raises $750, the “Boss” can either rappel, or match the funds and nominate someone else to go over the edge instead.

Event Day Volunteer Opportunities
Rope Volunteer Registration
Although we prefer individuals who have experience working with rope, becoming a rope volunteer is open to anyone with an enthusiastic and safety conscious mindset. Rope Volunteers will be expected to:
Watch a 1-hour online video before the event, attend a 3-hour training session on Friday, 4/11, volunteer all day on Saturday, 4/12, rope volunteers will get to rappel the building as part of their training, rope volunteers will come into close contact with participants
We strongly encourage the rope volunteers to bring a face covering from home to wear during the event
