A portion of Bold in the Cold races proceeds, race particpants and LGRAW members donations, and contributions from Hop & Sting Brewery and Bear Creek Running Company are all used to raise at least $2,000 in college scholarship(s) for graduating track or cross-country student(s) from primarily Grapevine and Colleyville High School (for more details see our scholarship page). 

Here is a list of the last few years in colllege scholarships paid out to students:

2024 -$5,000 to Blayne Bradford, Grapevine HS ($2500); Breelyn Francis, Grapevine HS ($2,500).

​​​2023 - $2,000 to Alberto Rayon Grapevine HS ($2000).

​2022 - $6,000 to Walker St. John, Grapevine HS ($2000); Jordan Losack, Colleyville Heritage HS ($2000); Josue Granados, Grapevine HS ($1000); Keshari Rijal, Colleyville Heritage HS ($1000).

​​2021 - $4,000 2 College Scholarships.

​​​​2020 - $2,000 to Claire Reader Marcus High School.

2016 - $2000 to Madison Schumm

2019-2000 Donations were made for scholarships and other charities totaling an additonal $10,270.00.
