Project Blossom

According to UNICEF, one in ten schoolgirls in Africa miss classes or drop out completely due to their period and substitute pads or tampons for less safe and less absorbent materials such as rags, newspaper, or bark.

ACDF’s Project Blossom is raising funds to ensure that more girls in Africa have access to safe menstrual protection. Just $20 can give a girl a reusable sanitary pad kit and open doors to countless opportunities.

$40,000 =

2,000 girls

The initial phase of our project includes a goal of supplying 2,000 girls with reusable 5-pad kits.

Kits will be primarily sourced from partners on the African continent where possible, and we will collaborate with select off-continent partners and groups to obtain quality resources or expertise.

Sustainability is key to Project Blossom's success. In addition to enabling 2,000 girls to continue going to school, this effort will support the next generation by teaching them how to make their own products, fostering a self-sustaining cycle of empowerment and progress.
