Open Door Women's Shelter is a program of Open Door Community Center. We provide safe, temporary shelter for women and their children experiencing homelessness in Beaufort County. Our staff Case Manager connects residents with skills and community resources which will enable them to transition into long-term, stable housing. Since opening our doors in January 2019, we've served 118 women and 54 children. We provide some Day Center hours in which women are able to remain in the house during the day to rest, work on goals, and attend enrichment classes provided by community members/resources.
The Community Moonlight Stroll was created by the Beaufort County United Way as a way for community members to support local causes they are passionate about. United Way strives to foster a collaborative resilient region where every person has the opportunity to thrive.
