Hi all!
I'm so excited to join the team for Students Run Philly Style for this year's Philadelphia Marathon. I discovered this organization in 2008 when I was running the 2nd marathon - they inspired me so much that I just finished number 21! This amazing organization works with nearly 1000 students throughout the Philadelphia School District, encouraging them to believe in themselves. Working with adult mentors, these students learn the joy of running and most importantly, they learn about setting goals, tackling the impossible and the accomplish just that - the impossible. As a matter of fact, once I saw it action, I started similar and had the joy of running with wonderful young people and seeing them develop. I am so grateful for Students Run Philly and what it gives to everyone; the students they serve as well as, ahem, mature adults, like me....
