I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer. Please support my efforts by donating to my fundraiser, and give with confidence knowing that 100% of your donation will fund lifesaving cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children's Hospital. The registration fee that I pay covers all of the costs of the race, so that all of the money that is raised can go towards the fight against cancer.
I dedicate this year's ride to 3 people whom I love wholeheartedly, who have received incredible care at Siteman:
- My wife, who is a mother to 3 ridiculously cute children, a physician, a traveler and lover of all food, a dog and parrot mom, a horrible but confident singer, a cross fit enthusiast and a breast cancer survivor after a diagnosis in 2015.
- My father, who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung adenocarcinoma in 2020 and continues to teach me, amongst other things, what perseverance is, what dedication looks like to both family and faith, and why it's important to pursue only what brings happiness and meaning to you
- My mother, the kindest and bravest woman I know, who was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma in 2023. She taught and gave me... everything. I love you mom, and miss you every day. Thank you for bringing me into this wild and beautiful life!
