Pedal the Cause

I am proud to once again join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer.  Everyone knows someone who is either surviving cancer, or sadly, was taken by this disease. My family in particular has had many.  My seven siblings and I lost our own Mom to cancer when we were kids and she was just 44 yrs old. But the advancements in medicine in recent decades prove that many types can be treated, extending people's lives who might have died. And little by little milder treatment methods are are being found that make their fight more tolerable.

Still, more needs to be done to continue this work. That's why I have dedicated so many years riding in this event. There is a reparative spirit when we meet each year, to celebrate the discoveries, honor loved ones who were taken, and boost the morale of those currently affected by cancer. All donations go to funding local medical research projects at  Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
