On 4/26, I’ll be riding my bike 112 miles from Oakland to Sacramento as part of Ride for a Reason, a critical effort to raise funds for Oakland public schools (OUSD) and I need your support!
Public education is the foundation of a just and thriving society. It’s how we equip the next generation with the tools to lead, innovate, and care for one another. But right now, OUSD is chronically underfunded, and the burden is falling hardest on the kids, our students, our future.
In today’s climate, where federal funding of education is being deprioritized, it’s more important than ever to show up locally for our schools. This ride is about more than miles - it's about making sure every Oakland student has access to a quality education, resources, and opportunities they deserve
