Hello. My name is Paisley and I launched Beach Roses Foundation in 2025—the year I turned 50 and marked five years since my triple negative breast cancer diagnosis, a major milestone given the aggressive nature of this disease. My mission is to do everything in my power to change the trajectory of breast cancer: to support prevention, help fund the search for a cure, and to help ensure those diagnosed can live longer, healthier lives.
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed invasive cancer in women worldwide. In the U.S., 1 in 8 women will face it in her lifetime—and diagnoses among younger women are rising at an alarming rate. Yet, even as the need for progress increases, crucial research programs are underfunded—or have been eliminated—just when patients need them most. That’s why Beach Roses is more than a foundation; it’s a call to action.
On May 17th —we will take powerful steps forward with the inaugural Beach Roses Walk. People of all ages will come together in solidarity to honor breast cancer survivors and those we've lost, while raising funds to support groundbreaking research at Yale Cancer Center/Smilow Cancer Hospital and initiatives like Livestrong at the YMCA.
I hope you will walk with me!
I am walking in honor of my paternal grandmother, who passed away from breast cancer before I was born; for my cousin, a courageous survivor; for my forever friends, both from childhood and adulthood, who have also faced this battle—some diagnosed in their early 30s; for the brave moms I’ve recently met who share a common journey; for my friend's mom who was just diagnosed this year; for the survivors I continue to meet—newly diagnosed, searching for hope; for a cherished warrior friend who now has metastatic breast cancer and continues to fight; And, for my "lil sis," Bree- Bree was diagnosed just after me. We met because we were being treated at the same cancer center. Bree and I talked all the time, until she lost her fight to Triple Negative (and inflammatory) Breast Cancer. Her loss is a reminder of why we must continue this fight.
SO GRATEFUL FOR ANY WAY YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE!
No amount is too small...or too large;)
