2021 Step Up for IC/BPS Your Way

My name is Abby Walker and I am 21 years old. I am a preschool teacher, pageant queen, Girl Scout Troop Leader, and children's ministry director at my church. I was diagnosed with IC in 2019 at the age of 19 after a summer filled with UTI's and antibiotics not working. Eventually, all the symptoms were there and there was no infection so it was determined I had IC. This is something that at first I was very private about and only a few knew, but now I am comfortable sharing it with the world because it is an invisible illness and not many people know what it is so I want to bring awareness to something that is personally painful.
