Greetings from Telluride!
The Mountains To Desert Classic century bike ride is BACK - after a 2-year COVID hiatus. I'm excited to ride on September 24th with 200 cyclists to help raise money for the Just for Kids Foundation which supports children's programs in the San Miguel watershed, from Telluride to Paradox. The last few years have been tough for many of the nonprofits in our region that serve kids. We are expecting a record number of applicants for funding this fall. Your donation to my ride (or any cyclist's ride) will help us meet the needs of many worthy organizations serving regional children. Our collective goal is to raise $150K - just for kids!
As the President of the Board of the Just For Kids Foundation (and because we haven't hosted M2D in a few years) my presence is needed to volunteer on race day, so this year I've created a bit of a hybrid fundraising ride for myself... I plan to ride 200 miles on my Mountain Bike during Aug & Sept and 50ish miles on my road bike the day of M2D so I can be at the finish line to help out.
