Pedal the Cause

We are proud to create this Memorial to support Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer. Barbara was a passionate woman and passionate about her fight with cancer.  Barbara fought ovarian cancer to the very end; significantly outliving initial prognosis.  Please support our efforts by donating to this fundraiser, and give with confidence knowing that 100% of your donation will fund lifesaving cancer research.

Barbara's passions included being an EMT and serving as an officer of the Quaker Street Fire Department for 50 years. Barbara was heavily involved in politics, and she served as the Republican Chair for the Duanesburg Republican Committee, and also served on the Executive Committee for the Schenectady County Republican Committee. Barb served as the President of the Schenectady County Republican Women’s Club. She was Treasurer for the Western Hills Garden Club, who tended the gardens for the Quaker Street Library and Duanesburg Shafer Park, to name a few. She was the Christian Education Director for Quaker Street Bible Church for over 30 years. She aided with the after-school Release Time and headed the vacation Bible School every summer.
