This is my fourth year participating in IRIS's Run for Refugees. Inspired by Chewbacca, who ran the race much longer, I've participated as Han Solo and Boshh the bounty hunter. This will be my first year running as a Jedi, with my Padawan (age 10) beside me!
The world is full of danger and fear, but one thing I've learned from my favorite stories (including Star Wars) is that hope is the best way to counter those fears. We hope for a better future, where immigrants and refugees are welcomed with open arms and given the support they need. Every day, IRIS works toward that goal. I'm happy to support them!
