Location

Google Maps does not have our address, so you have to use this link. Apple Maps has it at this link.

You can also search for Dodge Point Preserve. As you drive out River Road from Damariscotta, you will pass through the Preserve and right after that the woods open up and make the first left onto Dodge Cove Lane (there is a red British phone booth in the field). We are at the end of the lane.

The location is 43°59'06.3"N 69°34'04.1"W.

Restaurants

Damariscotta has many good places to eat from oyster shucking joints to restaurants on the pier to a public house to Thai. Oh, and farm-made ice cream.

Boothbay is only 15 minutes away, with good restaurants and outdoor lobster roll stands.

About 30-40 minutes away are three of our favorites. McLoons Lobster Shack, Natalie's, and Primo's.

Trails

Maine has so countless preserves, trails and lighthouses. 88 Dodge Cove Lane is right next to a gem - the Dodge Point Preserve. Down at the end of the peninsula is the Ocean Point Walk, and on the other side of the Damariscotta River is the Pemaquid Light House.

Beech Hill Preserve overlooks Rockland and Camden with a 100 year old restored stone and sod roofed picnic building and has a wooded trail or an old open carriage trail that rises through acres of low bush blueberry fields to hike.
