Thank you for your support. You can help change someone’s life today.
Founded in 1982, The Shelter was formed by a community of concerned congregation members. The Hoboken Shelter's mission is to be a community partnership that transforms lives by providing meals for the hungry, shelter for the homeless, and services to support people to become housed.
But we cannot achieve this without your support.
As we begin to move past the difficulties of the past year, our homeless citizens cannot do the same. In addition to trying to meet their needs for food and shelter, many are dealing with trauma and mental health, exacerbated by PTSD and the stress of the pandemic.
The Hoboken Shelter provides nutritious, hot meals to our homeless guests. Our guests can save money for rent, utilities, and other necessities by eating at the Shelter, to assist them in moving forward and on their own. The Hoboken Shelter’s Case Managers connect people in need to social services that can help them and their families.
The Hoboken Shelter is a not-for-profit organization. Donations are tax-deductible in accordance with the law.
