The Salt Lake City Track Club has been giving back to the running community for decades.

Whether that's with our 4 (sometimes 5!) weekly runs, our annual summer picnic, our year-end awards banquet, or our favorite thing to boast about - Making Strides.

"Making Strides" initially started in 2009, and we've partnered with various organizations across the valley, and currently we're partnering with Race Cats and the Wallace Stegner Academy to provide a running program for children from West Valley. The program, which takes place in the fall and spring, provides training and running competitions for elementary and middle school children.

The Track Club coordinates with Race Cats to provide discounted registration fees and running shoes for those families that require them. Additionally, the Track Club provides coaches to guide children on their running journey.

Making Strides aims to introduce children to the sport of running to foster a lifelong relationship with the activity. The Track Club wants to encourage youth to run to promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
