Daphne was diagnosed in early 2024 and we will fight! It all began with a little weakness when getting up, and soon a tremor was showing in her left leg. Those of you who follow us online know that Daphne has been in PT for years due to other issues so it wasn’t added to the list of things to care for during her sessions. Soon, she started to drag her leg so we started exploring the cause. Ultimately it was determined to be DM. We are doing everything possible to keep her happy and mobile. From therapy to a hot pink wheelchair, she is not letting DM get her down!

Our mission is to Raise Awareness for Degenerative Myelopathy ... This will be our 6th Annual RACE and our third year as an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Our goals are:
To honor our pups that are currently taking this journey or in memory of a warrior pup.
To help other owners become aware that we can offer them support by sharing our #ShadeOutDM member support group on facebook.
To educate people that this horrible disease CAN be prevented with careful educated breeding and the proper health testing PRIOR to breeding.
To raise funds to help support our Loaner Cart program as well as our mission by attending events, veterinary conferences and shipping materials across the globe all in an effort to "bark out loud" for the pups.
