Welcome to my fundraising page!
I was diagnosed with breast cancer just less than one year ago. This will be my first half marathon post diagnosis and treatment. I am running this race not just for myself, but for those cannot-my brother, my friend's brother, and another friend's son. I am inspired by their fight and I carry the torch for them to prevent and cure cancer.
The Badger Challenge's mission is to give 100% of all participant-raised dollars (yes, every penny!) to the most promising UW cancer initiatives both in the laboratory and clinic setting. I was a part of several trials and studies, again to help cure this awful disease and prevent it. The UW Carbone Cancer Center was top notch in my treatment from start to finish, and I believe they will continue to be a part of the larger picture in advancements in the prevention and cure for cancer. Since 2016, Badger Challenge has raised over $3.6 million and what’s best of all is our ability to see where the money goes as Badger Challenge presents their Scholars each year!
