Why I Ride

If diseases could be rated as evil, cancer would be at the top of the list. If you or a loved or have never been impacted by it, you are indeed fortunate, and I pray that you never are. It starts off small, quiet, and unnoticeable, like a thief in the night.  If not caught it grows and spreads throughout the entire body consuming and choking the life from it. It's a most hideous and painful way to die.  Though great strides have been made in its detection and treatment, cancer is still the cause of 1 in 7 deaths in the US alone each year.  It has claimed the lives of many members of my family including my first wife Juanita in 2017. In 2018 I was diagnosed with colon cancer. Thanks to early detection and the great doctors and staff at BJC and Siteman Cancer Center I was treated and have been cancer free since.
