Please join me in supporting the ADUSA Semper Pi in the Face fundraiser to benefit Semper Fi and America's Fund. As a member of the ADUSA Veterans & Military Empact Network, I'm a staunch supporter of the military and all who have and continue to serve our Country. My dad is Marine, a Vietnam Vet, and in my eyes, a hero. I've always been his biggest fan, and he is the reason I have such admiration and respect for Veterans.
My dad came home from Vietnam with invisible wounds; wounds that he was too afraid to acknowledge. He never got help for what he went through and very seldom talked about his experiences there. I wish I could have done more; I wish I would have known about Semper Fi and America's fund years ago. In 2015 I lost my dad to cancer; I'm participating in this fundraiser to honor him. Please help me raise money so that Semper Fi and America's Fund can continue their mission to help people like my dad, and all the deserving men and women who have selflessly served our country. About SEMPER FI & AMERICA’S FUND: Semper Fi & America’s Fund (The Fund) provides unique and innovative programs, which include immediate financial assistance, case management, connection, and lifetime support, to our nation's critically wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, and military families of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. The Fund was created by a group of military spouses who saw the need for bedside support for wounded and injured service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan and immediately offered assistance to their families. Today, those same military spouses lead an extended patriotic staff of veterans, community members, and volunteers who build relationships that last a lifetime — a unique model of care among veteran service organizations.
