I believe this is my 17th year riding my all time favorite course from Telluride to Gateway. You can say it’s “mostly downhill” but anyone whose ridden the M2D knows it’s considerably more than that. The 103 miles stretches out to about six hours of almost continuous riding with a few very short breaks thrown in. The butt and shoulders get sore along with other parts that start talking to me after about 75 miles. The beauty is unsurpassed as you drop in elevation down the San Miguel watershed, finishing up in Gateway along the Dolores River.
My goal again this year is to raise $1,000 for the Just For Kids Foundation. They’ve been helping the kids here in our West End communities for at least twenty years, funding important school and recreation programs. Please help me reach my goal again this year and I promise to ride hard and keep smiling!
