Let's see what HistoSonics can do for our July/August Histo Giving Charity, nominated by Greg Tighe, Sr. Software Engineer/Cybersecurity Expert in our Ann Arbor Office. Please read Greg's submission:
Chad Carr (grandson of former University of Michigan head football coach Lloyd Carr) was diagnosed with DIPG (pediatric brain cancer) three days before his 4th birthday.
Chad fought bravely for 14 months after his initial diagnosis, enduring dozens of rounds of radiation therapy and a clinical trial at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center before succumbing to this cancer at the age of five.
Chad’s parents, Tammi and Jason Carr founded the ChadTough organization to defeat DIPG so that other families would not have to go through the pain of losing a child to pediatric brain cancer.
I’ve been donating to ChadTough since at least 2018; I wholeheartedly support their effort to find ways to prevent children from succumbing to DIPG. These kids deserve a fighting chance and no parent should ever have to live with the grief of losing a child, especially at such a young age.
