The band was originally formed in 2012 by Andrew and Bryan Ayers, who were 12-years old at the time. In 2013 they enlisted Jamie Newsome and Jordan Steele, and they started playing at local venues with regularity. At 14-years old they were playing festivals including Bay Fest, 1065, SouthSounds and others. They changed the name of the band in 2019 to Ayers Brothers Band. Jamie now lives in Auburn, and Jordan in Nashville, so Andrew and Bryan pick up various notable musicians for gigs in the region from Florida to Mississippi. They are now 21-years old, performing publicly for seven years. Both Andrew and Bryan have been finalists along with their bands in the Nappies for many years... and in several different categories (too many to name here). Their music has transformed from a straightforward rock to having a more funky twist on any song they do. Whether jazz, funk, reggae, blues, pop or rock... they have it covered. Featured on WALA, 92ZEW and other local shows, this band of twin brothers covers it all!
Bryan Ayers (drummer) is a NICU Graduate at Children’s & Women’s Hospital! He spent about 30 days in NICU, the best place in the world for him to be. Thanks be to God! Donate to the Ayers Brothers Band and help out the USA Children's & Women's Hospital NICU Department.
