Hi everyone! Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page. It is that time of year again, City Island Rowing's annual ergathon! Since my freshman year of high school, I have been rowing at CIR (over four years now), and I now act as Captain, Head Novice Coach, and have committed to continue my rowing career at UNC next year! I can confidently say rowing has made me the person I am today. Rowing has taught me discipline and structure beyond just on the water. Rowing has shown me how to push myself to be the best person I am for myself and, more importantly, my teammates. I have found a community and family that I could never have imagined would be this amazing. E lla has recently started rowing herself and is in her second year! Ella competes as a high-performance U17 athlete and absolutely loves her experience. During our ergathon I will row for 90 minutes straight and Ella an hour (think a marathon for running!). Rowing has become a huge part of both Ella and I's lives. All donations go to purchasing much-needed equipment. All of our current equipment has been bought through this fundraiser. The equipment bought will benefit us and the future generations of CIR rowers, so rowing can help change others' lives as it did ours. Thank you to everyone who considers donating to this wonderful team!
