My name is Clarissa Russo and I am a senior and captain at City Island Rowing. This is my third year with this sport and club and - as you all know from the various emails - my third time participating in the Ergathon! Thank you so much for your support, it means the world to me and my team.
Our annual Ergathon is our capital equipment fundraiser and the proceeds go towards all of the equipment that we use daily, which, in our sport is typically made of hand-laid carbon fiber and is very expensive. Every boat, oar, erg, and piece of CIR merch we touch is either directly or indirectly funded from the money we raise in the Ergathon. This year is a particularly exciting one for our equipment, since we just purchased a brand new stunning racing shell, the Hudson USP 8+, which you can learn more about on the main page.
Each athlete who raises at least $1000 earns the right to have their name featured prominently in our gorgeous new racing shell... the top 8+ fundraisers will have their names right on the seats! With your help, I can be one of those girls!
Please note that City Island Rowing is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and 100% of your donation is fully tax-deductible.
Thank you again for your support... especially if you have supported me before!
