Athletes for Charity

Dear Queens General Assembly (QGA) Members + Family and Friends:

As we are in the season of giving, we are reaching out to ask for your support of QGA's Holiday Toy Drive throughout the month of December!  

Given the recent surge of children being housed in shelters, the members of the QGA would like to gift toys and other products to be delivered to a shelter in Queens, NY.  The children range in age from Infants to 18 years old. Their demographics include being U.S citizens, immigrants, and asylum-seekers.  Majority are spanish speakers. 

If you are in a position to support, here are some ways that you can donate and help bring some joy to youth and families in need this holiday season:

• Monetary Donations - Donations of any amount from $1 and up will help us purchase the wishlist items for the shelter's family.

  Purchase and Donate Gift Cards - Please email Cathleen at info@athletesforcharity.com to coordinate receipt of the gift cards.  NOTE: Target is currently running an awesome promotion through this Saturday - buy one toy and receive 50% off a second. We are in need of proxy. 200 more toys and product for teens.

• Unused Gift Cards - We have all received gift cards over the years and billions of dollars of gift cards go unused.  If you have an unused gift card sitting around or one with a few left over dollars in it, we will take it.

• Brand New Unwanted Gifts - We will take any brand new unwanted Gifts that you may have received that is age appropriate to recycle as a brand new gift to a child or parent. Please email Cathleen at info@athletesforcharity.com to coordinate receipt of the gift cards. 

Let’s work together to bring joy to a child this holiday and spread some happiness and cheer!
