Celebrate the Power of Community on November 14, 2021, at Grand Mesa Medical Pavilion! Drop off a nonperishable 'Dish' supporting our local food banks and then pick your pace during the 1K Dash where you will be splattered with colors raising awareness for the many types of cancer people in our community face.

Food banks will be onsite to disperse the donated nonperishable items and will be able to accept monetary donations. All other funds raised will support the Cancer Support Fund at Delta Health Foundation (DHF).

Registrants receive sunglasses and an "I Can Fight Cancer" long sleeve shirt that can be splattered with colors throughout the 1K (just over 1/2 a mile) fun run or walk. The entry fee is $15, to be accessible and encourage people to bring nonperishable items to support those in need. Food banks will be onsite to collect food donations. Suggested donations include:

Spices

Pre-packaged snacks

Toiletries

Baby Toiletries

Cleaning Supplies

Feminine Hygiene Products

Canned beans and tomatoes

Peanut butter, or other nut butters

Canned fruit (in juice, instead of syrup)

Canned vegetables (with no or low-sodium)

Low-sodium soups

Canned meats (in water) or jerky

Brown rice, quinoa

Canned stews

Olive, canola oil

Dried fruits, no sugar added

Chicken, beef, and vegetable broths and stock

Participants can choose to stop at a color station that represents a specific cancer awareness or stop at every station to show a smattering of support for themselves, loved ones, and friends experiencing cancer. Donations received recognizing a loved one lost, a Survivor, or Supporter will be recognized on-site during the event.

Survivor: anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer no matter where they are in the course of their journey

Supporter: a caregiver or someone in attendance honoring a Cancer Survivor or in memory of a loved one
